How to wash a down jacket

Preparation for hand washing

Prepare a sink or washbowl by filling it with lukewarm water (below 30°C). Add a little less neutral detergent than the recommended amount to the water, stirring as you dissolve it.

Wash Spot Stain First

For spot stains such as cuffs and collars, use a brush designed for spot stains to remove the stain first.

Soak and press wash the down

Soak the down in lukewarm water and gently press it to wash it about 20 times.

Soaking the down

After pressing and washing, soaking the item is effective in lifting dirt. It is also recommended to add fabric softener.

*Please do this for about 30 minutes. Please avoid soaking for a long time.

Rinse

Change to clean water and rinse thoroughly. Change the water each time and rinse until no more bubbles or cloudy water appears.

If any detergent remains, the down may clump or become stained.

Place in a net and dehydrate

Place in a laundry bag and spin-dry in a regular washing machine for about 1 minute . Do not wring out to prevent damage to the fabric or down or deformation.

*Please avoid using a dryer as it may damage the product or cause it to lose its shape.

Dry in the shade

Before drying, loosen the down inside and hang it to dry in a well-ventilated, shady area. Please note that direct sunlight or long periods of lighting may cause discoloration.

How to store down

After cleaning, store your down in a low humidity place out of direct sunlight.

If you hang it on a hanger, we recommend that you cover it with a clothing cover. If you store it folded, place a deodorizer or desiccant between the garment and the cover.

We also recommend wet cleaning TAION down jackets at a dry cleaner .
Please consult with your local dry cleaner. It is also very convenient to have multiple inner down jackets as an item to change into when washing or to wear in different combinations. Please consider buying different designs and colors
